I would see someone running down the road and think "Why?" Now I know why. Well, at least I think I do. They love it. I know I for one really do. Is it hard to go out sometime (especially in the cold Wisconsin weather)

you bet. But I do, at least most of the time. Running has led to cycling and that to doing a Duathlon in the very near future. You would think athletes are a bit snobby or even snotty. Quite the contrary actually. I have met many of the above and have never been laughed at because I could only run at a 11 minute pace, or bike at 13-14 miles per hour (I am faster than those times now...we only get faster with time and hard work). I have come to know many awesome athletes through twitter, podcasts and the Daily Mile. You all are truly great at what you do and I really look forward to continuing my learning of our sports. Thank you!

Wow, 100 pounds? That's really great. Congratulations on that, major accomplishment.
ReplyDeleteI agree, the running community is amazing, it's full of the best people on the planet.
Fabulous! I started bicycling a year and a half ago. I originally thought that athlete types would be snobby/snotty and have been happy to discover the opposite is true!
