Improtant steps.



            Today was an important day for me. I had not run consistently for a long time…perhaps 8 months or so. Today Keyna (my dog) and I ran a loop that I had longer to run for some time. You see there is this 5 mile loop that for some reason was my favorite. Perhaps it was because it is further that the traditional 3 miler that one normally runs (at least that’s what I think.) So, Keyna and I ran it for the first time in, well I don’t know how long. This doesn’t mean that I can run it everyday but it did prove that I hadn’t lost my running skill nearly as much as I thought. I still have it…there is hope for me yet. Perhaps there is another Half marathon in my future…yes I think there is.One thing I did find during this run was that my Garmin Forerunner 305 is not up to par. You see I have had it since 10/13/2009 and have used it for 3177 miles of running and biking. I think it is a valuable piece of equipment and know it has helped me through losing nearly 100 lbs. and helped me make it through 26.2 miles of "fun."
